Position Summary and Key Accountabilities:
Bromwich+Smith is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Communications Specialist. Working out of our Corporate Head office in Calgary and reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Senior Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting the team with creating and maintaining the public image of Bromwich+Smith as well as fostering effective efficient internal communications.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Formulate Internal communications and external PR plans and strategies;
- Enhance the company's voice and presence through online and offline channels with earned, owned and paid media;
- Work collectively with internal departments to build and nurture effective efficient internal communications;
- Lead and maintain the intranet;
- Support the President and CEO and Senior Leadership Team with overarching internal and external communications strategies;
- Support in the creation of the annual report, quarterly report, quarterly meetings and ongoing internal communications and Change Management material;
- Develop and nurture key PR media relationships to ensure Bromwich+Smith is regularly utilized as a trusted advisor and expert in our vertical;
- Manage media relations, and requests;
- Write press releases, speeches, blogs and other PR copy. Participate in content planning and share innovative solutions and story ideas for PR coverage;
- Present solutions in times of PR crisis;
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors;
- Lead survey initiatives and analyze public opinion;
- Lead and guide social media platforms and content calendar.
