12 Month Contract

As the Writer/Editor for the Communications and Marketing Department, you will be providing linguistic quality control in both English and French. By proofreading content, conducting copy and stylistic editing as well as writing in a journalistic style, your expertise in this area will help the MCC reach its target audience and deliver the intended message. In addition to translating English to French, you will perform comparative reads and make recommendations for new editing standards. As the only Writer/Editor in the Communication and Marketing Department, you will have a deep understanding of writing and editing concepts to support brand identity and content accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, experience using the Canadian Press Stylebook
Ability to research and organize information, multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure
Proven team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
