Looking for an opportunity to learn and grow within Purolator? Here is another exciting opportunity for you to help us deliver on our customers’ promises
We are looking for a take-charge, humble and news-savvy Social Media and News Strategist to play a lead role in building Purolator's social media and public relations function. In the role you will:
Be a change-maker, a builder and a great storyteller.
Act as Corporate Communications' social media and news champion, identifying and executing social and traditional earned media opportunities to promote Purolator's growth story and strategic objectives, people and culture, and corporate social responsibility progress.
Create and execute a company-wide social media plan - using all social channels strategically (e.g., Workplace for internal social media and Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram for external social media). Plan will have a clear purpose, link social engagement opportunities with target audiences.
Develop and execute Purolator's B2H (business-to-human) social voice, influencer strategy and community management approach.
Work with your Corporate Communications colleagues to identify always-on storytelling opportunities and promote these on social channels and through news outlets.
Keep pace with news of the day, identifying and acting on opportunities to engage in conversations, profiling Purolator in smart and creative ways.
Guide and work with other departments to put social media best practices and guidelines in place.
Manage Purolator's monthly social content calendar and publish content to external channels on a regular basis.
Actively monitor social media platforms to find opportunities to engage with influencers and communities based on Purolator's Corporate Communications goals and business priorities.
Continually gather and measure data related to our social engagement and campaign performance.
Conduct regular research on best practices and consumer social media habits to keep Purolator current with the latest platforms and technology.
Work collaboratively with agency partners to manage timelines, scope and quality of work.
Create regular forward-looking status reports highlighting areas of reputational risks and opportunities.

As The Successful Candidate, You Must Have
Expert knowledge of social media engagement with emerging and established platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit.
Proven experience identifying target audiences for B2B and B2C businesses and developing social engagement strategies and campaigns to improve a company's corporate reputation.
Demonstrated knowledge in building influencer relationships and managing social communities - and keeping them engaged.
Experience with newsrooms and journalists, either in a news production capacity or media relations role.
Great examples (e.g., case studies) that show your social media leadership, creativity and work.
Exceptional project management and people skills.
Go-getter and team-oriented attitude.
Ability to manage multiple creative projects under tight deadlines.
