We are a high performing team responsible for leading the development, coordination and implementation of corporate and strategic communications and public engagement approaches for the Government of Yukon. We take a leadership role and collaborate with departments and Cabinet Communications to deliver high quality and timely communications and public engagement advice and products. We work in a fast paced environment, are excited
about our work and are outcome oriented.
Our Communications branch is responsible for a full range of communications and public engagement services as well as a variety of new and exciting projects to improve processes and service as well as implementation and evaluation of those services, and we are looking for a leader to help us get there.
Our ideal candidate…
Is an accomplished senior level professional with a solid foundation in strategic communications and public engagement planning, media relations and crisis communications, consultation and research coordination as well as web and social media management. You envision and implement change and initiatives in a methodical and collaborative manner. Your communications expertise and big picture thinking balances the needs of stakeholders and clients at all levels (internally, externally, departmentally and corporately). You are thoughtful, influential and strategic to ensure success and results within government structures and processes. You can motivate and lead a team of communications professionals who achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You build positive, professional, and reciprocal relationships and networks.
